Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut

The story of Billy Pilgrim, a decidedly non-heroic man who has become “unstuck in time.” He travels back and forth in time, visiting his birth, death, all the moments in between repeatedly and out of order. He travels between these periods of his life, unable to control which period he lands in. As a result, the narrative is not chronological or linear. Instead, it jumps back and forth in time and place, so Billy's life is given to us out of order and in small fragments.
