SYNOPSIS: A little boy named David has lived in Los Angeles, California his whole life. For his tenth birthday, he wants a dog but his family can't afford a real one. His mother Jennifer, a former toymaker and current animator for films and TV shows, decides to put her toymaking skills to good use by creating a stuffed canine named Darcy for David. While he appreciates the gift, he still wishes he had a real one. One day, the toy turns alive and the two become the best of friends. MPAA RATING: PG for some thematic elements and brief language.
