A hilarious comedy farce about a principal of a public school and his struggles to keep it in good order or it will collapse
Talking to dragons is about a boy named Daystar who lives with his mother at the edge of the Enchanted Forest. One day a wizard barges in and demands a particular sword from his mother, but to Daystar's surprise his mother melts the wizard! The next morning she sends Daystar with the sword into the Enchanted Forest and tells him not to come back until he knows why he had to leave. He follows her advice, and begins his adventures meeting a fire-witch, a young dragon, a talking lizard, and many of his mother's old friends… And enemies.

Princess Cimorene rolls up her sleeves and gets the job done with a happy disregard for the traditions of her role. She throws herself wholeheartedly into a career as a dragon's princess, a respectable role, although not one for which one usually volunteers. As she fends off nosy wizards, helps out hysterical princesses, and turns away determined rescuers, Cimorene makes a firm place for herself in the dragon …
