What if BATMAN & ROBIN wasn't critically panned, and the producers at WB wanted to move on with the same Neo-Silver Age franchise? Inspired by the BATMANIA of the 60s, the film would kick off another genre-defying mystery adventure of the Dynamic Duo and their new aid, Batgirl. When Gotham University professor Jonathan Crane faces controversy and eventually ridicule with the faculty for his obsession with Fear and phobias, the once humble pedant becomes the menacing Scare Crow (imagine Freddy Kruger). Meanwhile, the zany Lewis Caroll-addicted super villain known as The Mad Hatter strikes at Robin and Batgirl, while Arkham Asylum's old director, Hugo Strange, takes his own obsession with Gotham's colorful criminals to new heights. He is a Lovecraftian Mad Scientist figure who devolves into creating monsters like the Clay Face (Barbara's newest love interest) and framing Scare Crow by using his own fear toxins to keep the Dynamic Duo guessing! With so many villains abound, the Caped Crusader needs to put his detective skills to the test to solve the mystery behind Gotham's newest attack: turning the city into mindless zombies! With monsters, Mad Hatters, and a villain who seems to be born from classic horror films of the 60s, Batman is in grave peril.
Based on the brilliant designs of Alex Ross, we bring the Silver Age to life on the big screen as you've never seen it before!
