The Beasts Of The Field by J.D. Taylor - Based on the screenplay 'Blood On Satan's Claw' by Robert Wynne-Simmons & Piers Haggard

A group of Year 12 school pupils are taken on a trip to a beauty spot that has considerable historical interest, as it is the location of the first of the monasteries to be burnt down by Henry VIII. One of the male students discovers a deformed skull buried in the soil. The second of the two supervising teachers examines it, but dismisses it as someone else's idea of a prank from years ago and throws it away. A short time later, both she and a handful of the pupils start acting strangely. They start flocking around the ruins of the monastery, and each one finds that one of their limbs have been replaced by animal-like body parts. When one of the students is killed by the female teacher and the eldest girl pupil, the young man who found the mysterious skull, and the remaing teacher go to find help. In their absence, the possessed teacher and students sever the affected limbs, and a monstrous creature appears and starts to rebuild its body from the dismembered limbs. Can the student and the teacher save the rest of those attending the school trip from the evil power of the entity they are possessed by before it consumes them completely?
