(The sequel to my dragon revival title, Eye Of The Inferno.)
The two remaining survivors, former US Marine turned private military contractor Jason Greer and government geologist/humanitarian Isabella Cadmus have endured a brutal and terrifying battle for survival against remote islands full of ancient and powerful fire-breathing dragons, the two managed to escape the islands alive and upon arriving back home they begrudgingly agree to keep both the existence of the creatures and their experiences on the islands a secret as they move on to new lives. But sometime later, Greer and Isabella have been apprehended and are now in hands of a shady international organisation known as “Wildfire”, who figured out the two's secrets and are requesting their help, for Wildfire believes the chain of islands might just be one of many places the creatures have hiding and there's probably a lot more of them hiding in other various unexplored/remote areas across the globe. So now, the organisation's goal is to seek out the dragons hiding in these various places and eliminate their existence before they would reawaken and have their chance to take back the Earth from the human race. But it soon becomes apparent to Greer and Isabella that some of the leading members of Wildfire have their own secret agendas for the dragons that they don't want other people to know about.
MPAA Rating: Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of creature action violence and mayhem, bloody images, and language.
RETURNING CHARACTERS:
Jason Greer - An arrogant disgraced former US marine turned private military contractor.
Isabella Cadmus - A young and ambitious yet cocky and somewhat naive government geologist and humanitarian.
NEW CHARACTERS:
Edward Allenson - An overzealous paleogeneticist and the head scientist of the organisation Wildfire who has had a massive fascination with dragons for as long as he could he remember. (He serves as the film's main human antagonist, and he looks to successfully splice together human and dragon DNAs.)
Isaac C. Conklin - A no-nonsense-taking and celebrated US marine general who is Wildfire's military supervisor, he also has a troubled history with Greer as he blames him for his disgrace.
Liu Kanon - Allenson's young Chinese-American sceptical assistant, though she has her own fascination with ancient creatures.
Dan Peters - An annoyingly persistent conspiracy theorist and documentarian who stows away hoping to expose the existence of dragons to the public.
Alex Kirkmond - Conklin's tough and elusive second-in-command (Who's secretly under other orders to capture the dragons so they can be used as weapons of war. He serves as the film's secondary human antagonist.)
Alycia - Young orphaned and homeless thief who Greer and Isabella decide to look after and protect. (She's essentially this movie's equivalent of Newt from Aliens.)
Baxter Holloway - A corrupt UN Ambassador who sanctioned the existence of Wildfire.
Malinda Kingston - Wildfire's cryptozoologist and historian.
