In 2018, troubled young man Marcus Washington is struggling to find a purpose in life, he lives in a neighborhood ridden with crime and poverty, he's never met his birth parents, jumped from various foster homes throughout his childhood, and is a loner who refuses to interact with anyone. That all changes when Marcus discovers that he has been gifted with the incredible super powers including flight, durability, and superhuman strength. seeing the opportunity to finally make something of himself and become someone extraordinary, he uses these new found powers to protect his neighborhood by fighting crime and later begins to patrol the streets of Detroit. Starbright soon gains the attention of Billionaire and CEO of Huntington Corporations, Forrest Huntington. Huntington sees the hero as a menace to society and wants to rid the world of Starbright.

In the climax of the film that takes place in Huntington Corporations headquarters Marcus engages in a brutal and destructive fight with Forrest who is in his own personalized mech suit, The two soon crash into the basement which holds a prototype to a time machine/Portal that Huntington Corporations is working on. In a last ditch effort to kill Marcus, Forrest attempts to push a wounded Marcus into the portal, but Marcus using his last remaining strength tackles Forrest into the portal and the portal soon malfunctions and explodes, killing Forrest and sending Marcus 90 years into the future in the year 2108.
Marcus Washington/Starbright- A troubled young man who becomes a superhero. he has possesses superhuman strength, reflexes and stamina.
Marcus's arc is going to be similar to the DCEU's version of Superman, he will start out as a troubled loner who could go down on a dark path, but soon grows and changes into being a compassionate and confident person who will become a great hero.
Forrest Huntington- Intelligent, Charismatic, and Ruthless Billionaire and CEO of Huntington Corporations.
Forrest is a mix of Lex Luthor and Tony Stark.
Rose Webb- A bold and sassy reporter who forms a strong bond with Marcus after she is assigned to interview Starbright.
Joshua Carter- A Football athlete with a heart of gold who is Marcus's childhood friend
Clarence and Edna Williams- Marcus's adoptive parents who legally adopted him when he was seven years old, they both did everything in their power to give Marcus a good upbringing.
Nathan Shaw: Leader of a local gang named ‘'The Kings’' that terrorizes Marcus's neighborhood.
Nicholas Hart- annoyingly persistent tabloid journalist.
Patricia James- Sean's Mother.
Sean James- A young boy who idolizes Starbright after Starbright saves him and his mother from an attack by the local gang.
Dr. Charles Montgomery- Huntington's primary henchman, who provides him with his various tech and armor.
