PLOT: In a town called Denver, Daniel Green, a middle-aged businessman in his mid-60s has been living in his childhood house with his youngest son, Theodore. his brother, Richard and his children, Lucy and Dennis. His other nine kids have their crazy turns as well. His oldest son, Alex is dating a younger female in her mid-20s. His oldest daughter, Renee is married to accountant, Jacob Newman and is pregnant with their first child. His second oldest daughter, Isabelle has become an alcoholic after her husband accidentally kissed another woman. His third oldest daughter, Missy is coming home for the holidays, bringing her boyfriend, Dallas. His middle son, Kevin has gotten out of a rehab center after being there for a year due to attacking his niece on Christmas last year. His middle daughter, Charlotte, a nurse at a hospital, finds out she's pregnant with her first child, which angers her abusive husband, Allen. His second middle daughter, Natalie is living around in Littleton with her husband, Ty and their newborn son, Justin. His second middle son, Bobby, who works as a cashier at a supermarket, spends the holidays with his father, after he discovered his girlfriend was having an affair. His youngest daughter, Alice is dating a much-older man in his mid-40s. To complicate the matters, his former wife, Karen(the children's mother)is diagnosed with terminal cancer, has till New Year's to live and wants to reconnect with her former husband and children before she passes away. Bobby even meets Daniel's former best friend, Pete Rosenberg and falls head over heels for Pete's daughter, Emily. Daniel is hesitant at first to let his ex-wife back in his life for the holidays, but when a car accident lands Isabelle in the hospital, he starts to accept.
