Once upon a time, there was an animator named Richard Williams (animation director of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?) who almost created and animated an epic animated film known as The Thief and the Cobbler. For 30 years he's been wanting to make this the greatest animated film of all time, having worked with several talented people and incredible animation!
But then tragically in the early 90's, because the film has longed forever Williams was kicked off the film by the Completion Bond Company, and having it re-worked into a generically lame Disney knockoff with celebrity voices and horrible musical numbers.
The film explores Richard Williams and the 30 year troubled process of how the film was made and then butchered, but in the end with the internet showing a faithful re-edit known as The Recobbled Cut.
