Scott Drayton, a notorious slacker and anti-music from a rural Kansas finds himself in a world where everybody on the planet starts dancing in harmony to music of all types - polka, waltz, hip-hop, rock, and more. Being the man who thinks that music is nothing but a waste of his time, Scott is met by a mysterious musician and dancer from the 30's who informs him of the realm of music he's entered. In order to leave the place, Scott must find the girl of his dreams and dance to the rhythm of music. Cynical despite the man's warnings, he realizes there is more to music than just the beats and tries to find romance in the new world.
As Scott falls in tune with music and realizes how much he's missed out on life, an evil man is hellbent on tearing down the planet and kidnaps the girl of Scott's dreams. Being forced to face his own fears and preconceptions, Scott will embark on a journey to prevent Melodyland from crumbling down to hell.
