In light of the recent Spider-Man: Homecoming release, I thought I'd get back on the Marvel Reboot wagon and create a sequel to my own vision of Spider-Man.
Plot: After Spider-Man finally puts The Stranger under arrest resulting from a nearly catastrophic battle, the latter reveals to Peter a mysterious group of super villains being established to start an army for a new “Universe”. However, Peter's life starts falling into an existential crisis - Aunt May falls ill to an unidentified virus, college life becomes increasingly difficult, his best friend Harry Osborne suspects Peter's alter-ego, and Gwen Stacy starts falling in love with Peter, making the young man's priorities risky and draining.
Peter hangs up the cape to return to his normal life and questions his own past the moment he started obtaining his abilities. That is, until Peter discovers the primary suspect affiliated with the Stranger who may be responsible for stealing one of Oscorp's plasma capsules and ends up changing the genetics to obtain super abilities with deadly claws and heightened intelligence.
MPAA: Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of stylized sci-fi action and violence including mayhem throughout, and brief language.
Points:
I would focus on Peter's struggle as Spider-Man and his life as the average human: catching up to junior year of college, caring for his sick aunt, keeping his job at the Daily Bugle, and his beginning romance with Gwen Stacy.
Harry Osborne and Norman Osborne clash with each other as to dealing with Spider-Man, although the former believes Peter is hiding a secret. Unlike the Tobey Maguire movies where the father and son get powers to fight Spider-Man, they train to fight and eventually develop their own powers.
For the Sinister Six build-up, I'd want it to be more subtle and carefully developed with little information for the next entry. Look at the scene in Batman v. Superman - Dawn of Justice where Wonder Woman gets the e-mail from Batman and sees other heroes with snippets of appearances.
Peter is in junior year of college, the next entry would be him entering Senior Year and graduating, just to avoid the typical high school route Homecoming followed.
My choice of musical artist would be Lorne Balfe based on his work in 13 Hours for the dramatic and sad music and Junkie XL for the intense battle sequences.
The fight choreography would still be similar to The Raid's style with a blend of Daredevil's fighting style.
(Expect a second entry for the final Lone Wolf trilogy soon.)

What if Denis Villeneuve directed Crazy, Stupid, Love?
