The sequel to my Friday the 13th reboot: https://imaginecasting.com/titles/results/15542/friday-the-13th-the-first-friday/, and the second instalment of the Slasherverse (A shared cinematic universe comprising of the classic slasher horror villains from the ‘70s and ’80s).
Little over a year after the events of the first movie, high school outcast Kevin O'Donnell is in a maximum security institution for the criminally insane for being accused of the murders of Becky Gardner, Dylan Hoffner, Brian Kessler, Kiera Longford and Pamela Voorhees. Though Kevin desperately pleads that he didn't do it and that it was Jason Voorhees but try as he might, no one believes him. Every night, Kevin is haunted by the images of Becky and Dylan's deaths and the one thing that has been burning through mind is one question: Why didn't Jason kill him that night. Wanting to prove his innocence and figure out why Jason didn't kill him, Kevin escapes and goes back to Crystal Lake. But upon arriving, it's been revealed that the grounds had been bought by a big leisure corporation that has renovated and reopened the camp, which is obviously a terrible choice to make, So Kevin tries to warn everyone at the camp and get them out of there as Jason's hunt begins.
MPAA Rating: Rated R for strong bloody violence and gore, sexual content and language.
(Post credits scene: (spoiler alert!)
We see an exhausted, frustrated, beaten and scratched up Kevin sitting handcuffed in a police interrogation room being questioned by both cops and the lawyers of the leisure company who don't believe his story. But an FBI agent by the name of John W. Hooper interrupts and demands to speak with Kevin alone, He removes Kevin's cuffs and assures him that he believes him and he's there to ask for his help. Hooper proceeds to explain that over the past 10 years, law enforcement officials across the nation have been receiving tips and reports of horrific and bizarre murders very similar to the case of Jason, he gives Kevin a huge stack of files to look at, Kevin flips through seeing the reports including photographs of: a clawed glove (from Nightmare On Elm Street), a kitchen knife (from Halloween), a chainsaw (from Texas Chainsaw Massacre), a good guy doll (from Child's Play) and a puzzle box (from Hellraiser). Hooper then says to Kevin “Tell me all you know about Jason Voorhees…”)
