A Netflix series based upon a cyberpunk character.
In the future, half of humanity is wiped out by a nuclear devastation that left Earth nearly crumbled into two different borders between the North World and South Quadrant in which humans are modified into half-machine bodies to run the world and prevent another cataclysm.
Drifter and former homicide detective Robert Watson is exasperated by the day-to-day life of watching mankind slowly unfold into extinction and decides to stop fighting against the unstoppable and “reset”. Soon, he is called in for another case involving the mysterious death of Senator John Willard, one of the politicians for enforcing the bill to segregate the Earth by border and species to prevent overpopulation and decimation of cybernetic beings.
Watson soon discovers a bigger conspiracy with humanity and robots turning against each other when his only clues are a book regarding the “Brave New World”, a soda bottle, and a mysterious young woman (Sonya) who claims to be an artificially intelligent human. Going beyond his reach of investigation and illegal activity, Watson is hit by a corrupt President who refuses to give humanity a second chance to learn from their mistakes and the police force he once belonged to now going against his findings as a potential uprising takes place from underneath.
