Joe Chapman is considered the most controversial stand up comedian of this generation thanks to his dark and sometimes offensive style of humor, a lot of people like him on how different he is, but other ones really hate him.
However in one day, he discovers something about him that he hasn't noticed before, Joe strongly believes that he might be cursed, since everytime he makes jokes about someone famous dying, it mysteriously happens instantly or in a couple of days from random diseases or accidents. One side of Joe sees this as a perfect opportunity to maybe get rid of his competition and his enemies, so he can be more successful as a comedian, but the other side of Joe wants to get rid of these weird and dark powers.
So Joe, along with his supersticious psychologist are going to try everything they can to find out and get rid off that creepy and strange curse before it completely consumes his mentality forever.
RATED R for some horror violence, sexual content / nudity and pervasive language
(NOTE: This is mostly going to be a psychological thriller, with a lot of dark and clever humor, drama, fantasy elements and weirdness. At times the movie is going to have some Birdman and a little bit of Death Note vibes)
The movie at the end is going to be revealed as a prequel to one of my projects, Another One Bites the Dust (https://imaginecasting.com/titles/results/14030/another-one-bites-the-dust/).
At the end, Joe's curse consumes him at a 100%, he loses all hope, and he believes that the only way he can get rid of this curse is by commiting suicide.
In the climax, he goes to make his last stand up peformance in a huge theatre, and he jokes about 6 celebrities dying, including his enemy Tommy and him. His act surprisingly ends of being a resounding success, but still all of the celebrities die, with Joe being the first one.
Joe then goes to the afterlife to confront the Grim Reaper face to face, the Grim Reaper always dreamed with that moment, he finally reveals him that cursing him was all part of his plan, as he always knew since the day he took the souls of his parents, that he might be destined to become his successor, all of the stuff that Joe went through on the planet Earth was some kind of training for him to become the new Grim Reaper, so that he can live a normal and peaceful life in heaven.
So Joe (now completly insane, with nothing of humanity left in him) takes on the mantle, puts on the coat, takes the axe and goes to his initiation ceremony hosted by God and the Devil, and with the souls of a lot of people, including a pissed off Tommy and the celebrities that Joe mentioned as the public.

He even tries to ruin Joe's shows.

The Grim Reaper: One of the antagonist, he constantly appears in Joe Chapman's nightmares, he likes to intimidate him, but also he gives him clues about that curse he gave him. He is the one trying to control the both sides of Joe, he wants his evil side to break out. He is played by a serious actor with a creppy voice.

Frank and Janis Chapman: Joe's parents, they appear in Joe's nightmares and flashbacks. They both love his son, but they kinda hate each other, they constantly fight.
