A HALLOW NIGHT by John Silver

Everybody is getting ready for the typical spooky night of the year – Halloween. Kids are trick-or-treating, costume parties are spreading throughout the public, and everybody is looking forward to a marathon of classic horror movies.

Things are different for Matthew Flynn, who doesn’t celebrate and enjoy the holiday and is forced to tag along with his pals for hours of scares and celebrating the night with horror movies and costume parties. But little do the party goers know when the Emergency Alert System advises citizens to remain indoors they make the grave mistake of letting in a colony of bats that transform into bloodsucking vampires, preying upon everybody and forcing Matt and his friends to escape.

But what lies outside of the party turns into a fight for survival with the undead walking the earth, werewolves howling at the blood moon, and witchcraft falling into play.

Comparison Pitch: The Blair Witch Project meets Night of the Living Dead meets The Lost Boys meets The Evil Dead meets Dog Soldiers.

MPAA: Rated R for bloody horror violence and gore, brief sexual content, disturbing images, and language.

Note: The movie would be balanced between found footage (news footage and one or two EAS alerts) and third person perspective. Additionally, the movie would be more grounded in terms of walking zombies and avoiding any over-the-top action sequences, and the only time we see the creatures wreaking havoc upon the city is when the main characters walk through the city trying to survive the night. Where the vampires, zombies, werewolves, and witchcraft originated from will be kept a mystery to our viewers.

Supporting Characters:

Casey Thomas - Matthew's girlfriend and horror movie geek.
Elijah Summers - Matthew's younger step-brother and best friend with a fear of becoming a werewolf.
Keith Graham - The “macho man” leader of Matthew's group.
Ingrid Fernandez - Host of the Halloween party with a sexual and mysterious nature.
Alexis Holbrook - Cute party girl who has a crush on Matthew.
Sheriff Bradley Harris - Roughneck sheriff who is on neighborhood watch for any suspicious activity.

Dracula - Main antagonist; a vampire who has lived through centuries is desperate for blood and starting a legion of vampires.
Werewolves - 7 to 8 foot creatures that act like soldiers and feast on humans; people transform into these creatures by getting bitten or looking obsessively at the red moon.
The Undead - Zombies rising from graves and walking around when flesh is near, but run when they are alarmed and away from humans.
Arabella Crow - Secondary antagonist; a witch who has the ability to possess people under her thrall and cast dangerous spells.
