Part eight of Volume II of my DC cinematic universe “rebirth” series.
Following his introduction to humanity and his exploits with the Justice League, Kal-El/Superman faces both appraisal and lombastment (namely from Lex Luthor) alike from society. In so, his alter ego, Clark Kent, struggles with his identity, all while balancing a life of heroics and day-to-day life with Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, and Jonathan and Martha Kent, the former of whom's health is waning. All the while, the rip in the Phantom Zone allows for the escape of three Kryptonian prisoners, traitorous General Dru-Zod and his followers, Faora and Non. Recognizing Kal-El as a fellow Kryptonian, General Zod wages battle against a mentally struggling Superman.
Main inspirations: The “New 52” run.
Rated PG-13 for sequences of action, and some language.
