Part six of Volume II of my DC cinematic universe “rebirth” series.
With the rise of superpowered humans, U.S. government agent Amanda Waller establishes a special black ops team… with a twist: the team consists entirely of prisoners at the Belle Reve Penitentiary. Led by special forces operative Rick Flag, Jr., the team is promised reduced prison sentences… should they survive. Their task: to extract several containers of a mysterious chemical, known as TITAN, from a heavily guarded compound in the Middle East. Armed with the impossible, it's up to a group of ne'er do wells to save the day.
A few things to add: to prevent a messy first act like the 2016 movie, this film would open with a credits sequence that establishes all the characters in one scene. All other development would come through dialogue. The squad members would have very different relationships to add to their character: for example, Deathstroke and Deadshot clash, Killer Frost and Killer Croc take a liking to one another, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy have their relationship, etc. Like The Dirty Dozen, six of the members would die by the end of the film, but I won't name them unless you really want me to!
Main inspirations: “Kicked in the Teeth” (Suicide Squad Vol 4), and the film “The Dirty Dozen”.
Rated R for intense sequences of action and violence throughout, and language including sexual references.
