20 year old Thomas Appley is smart and gifted individual who is enrolled into one of the most prestigious medical schools. Although, he has recently dropped because his real passion is in rock music and he dreams of being a successful rock star, so after returning home for Thanksgiving and getting in into a heated argument with his parents about what he's done, he decides to pay a visit to his old high school where his passion for rock came to be, while visiting, he comes across and forms a connection with four outcasts of the school whose lives at school and at home have affected them greatly. Thomas decides that as a way he thinks can help them through is to teach them how to perform rock music and form a small indie band.
