Part seven and the final entry in Volume I of my DC Cinematic Universe “rebirth” series. Before I get into it, I just want to say that this series has been kind of draining for me, so after this entry, I'll probably take a little break from posting ideas, original or adapted, for at least a week. I do have a poll about the series on my profile, if you would so kindly check it out :)
Mars, the familiar Red Planet next to our own, is secretly home to a species of extraterrestrial beings. The intellectual Green Martians live peaceful lives of philosophy: the White Martians, however, are savage warriors. A lengthy civil war between the two resulted in the latter being locked away in the Phantom Zone. When they escape the Phantom Zone, however, they come looking for vengeance at the nearest inhabited planet: Earth.
As they make contact, a benevolent Martian known as the Martian Manhunter takes note of their arrival and recruits the various super-powered heroes of Earth to team up alongside him: Superman, The Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman. They form the Justice League, and fight for the well-being of their planet against the army of White Martians.
The first half of the movie or so would focus on the members of the Justice League actually forming the team, with minimal action sequences in order to focus on their various relationships: Superman and The Batman clash, Flash and Green Lantern instantly get along, etc. After that, the film would turn into a more familiar blockbuster, with action taking place on Earth and in the surrounding space beyond the planet.
Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi action, violence and destruction, and for some language.
*I've excluded some characters. People like Lex Luthor, Commissioner Gordon, Jason Todd, Steve Trevor, Iris West, Carol Ferris, etc. would make appearances, but more as cameos than anything.
