Sequel to the underrated entry Hacker.
After a lengthy brutal fight where the insomniac vigilante Midnight Shadow leaves the sociopath taxi driver (also serial killer) Jacob near death, he moves to another country after his identity and killings have been compromised.
A few months later, while trying to keep a low profile, Jacob is confronted by a man who offers him a “cure” to his twisted state of killing for pleasure. In return, he must kill a high ranking member of a small agency of corrupt bankers who are deemed responsible for ruining the mysterious man's life.
After reluctantly agreeing to do so, Jacob infiltrates one of the buildings and encounters the leader of the agency, who is actually an employer of the hit men working for the leader in order to avenge his younger brother, one of Jacob's victims back in his old home.
Soon, Jacob is conflicted between unleashing the brutal but collected demon within him or stealing back his soul that was taken by the Devil.
Comparison Pitch: Only God Forgives meets Taxi Driver meets Oldboy (The Original).
MPAA: Rated R for strong disturbing brutal violence, sexuality/nudity, and brief strong language.
Note: This sequel is a bit of a character analysis towards Jacob trying to gain his humanity and controlling the demon within himself.
