MIDNIGHT SHADOW: INTERNATIONAL PAWN by John Silver, "Warrior X" by Tristan Hartup

Taking place after the events of Sentinel Rage: Warrior X vs Midnight Shadow, an emotionally devastated Carl Hoyt loses beloved girlfriend of his life Jade Peterson at the hands of Ron Hurt, whom he brutally kills and obtains his secret abilities that replace Carl's powers to look ahead and back in the future.

Since then, Carl has retired as a vigilante despite being offered to join Warrior X's organization, and lives most of his days in a forest, angrily depressed and insane. Carl is disconnected from society but all that changes when his home in the forest is burned to the ground and he is lured out into the open by a military squad, who takes him into custody because they are still fearful of his powers.

Carl is paid a visit by an international warlord who offers him a chance to unleash his full potential abilities by participating in a mission to track down Russia's dangerous criminal, Andrei Malkovyich, a man responsible for transporting dangerous weapons from the US to Russia.

He is reluctant to take on the case but seeing that he has nothing else to lose, Carl travels with The Warlord's men to capture Andrei, but little does he know that there are also other forces at play in capturing Andrei and also want to capture Carl for the events with Warrior X and to use whatever DNA the man has to strip him of his abilities and put him in confinement, while Carl takes every step within his mission to put an end to his troubles and regain the will to keep on fighting.

MPAA: Rated R for strong brutal action violence and mayhem throughout, and pervasive language.

Note: This is the concluding entry to the Midnight Shadow series. I will leave this off as a cliffhanger.

Carl Hoyt / Midnight Shadow - Blue collar mechanic turned insomniac vigilante who possesses new abilities (blending into dark areas, night vision, and increased senses) and new martial arts.

The Warlord - International and unidentifiable war lord from the Cold War who recruits Carl into killing Malkovyich.

Andrei Malkovyich - Antagonist; Russian soldier turned politician who is responsible for the collection of illegal weapons from the US to Russia.

Sandra Mills - US Politician involved in the events of Midnight Shadow and Warrior X's collaboration.

Nadine Petrowski / Lady Labyrinth - Super seductive and flirty Russian spy who takes an interest in Carl.

James Alquist - A kind-hearted “sociopath” who looks up to Midnight Shadow despite his differences with his fantasies of becoming a hero.
