Zack Ventress discovers that his childhood friend Oscar Bingham has donned his own sentinel suit very similar to his own, wanting to know how it happened, Oscar tells Zack that Harold Craven had a protégé named Michael Smith who had spent 24 years creating his own suit and also had created an artificially intelligent defence robot known as HyRex who had been corrupted then turned against Michael killing him in cold blood, fortunately Michael also implanted his consciousness into suit. HyRex soon happens upon an abandoned warehouse filled with all the rejected sentinel suits from Castleton Industries and turns them into an army hellbent on enslaving the planet, Zack and Oscar now must team up to take on HyRex and save the world.
