Elwood Norris is a charming, well-educated and very successful crime novelist best known for numerous works including his universally acclaimed “The Black-Handed Man” series. But while attending a public signing for his latest book, Elwood is threatened by cryptic messages and then is almost killed in a drive-by shooting. As the investigation for who tried to kill him is underway, Elwood is told go into hiding and lay low until the case is closed, with the addition of frequent therapy sessions in case of trauma. And soon, Elwood becomes overwhelmed by paranoia to the point where he is unable to sleep or leave his house, and the repressed secrets from his past begin to be revealed.
MPAA Rating: Rated R for some violence including disturbing bloody images, language, drug content and brief sexuality/nudity.
