Set in the distant future, following an accidental yet revolutionary scientific experiment, most of the Earth's population have been born with extraordinary abilities and have attained order throughout the world, while the rest that haven't born with these abilities are seen as weak, inferior and dragging down the system by the mutants and are forced into oppression. The story follows Tom Dresden, a introverted yet creative teenage loner and born in a well respected family among the mutants, who after years of faking his abilities, has been discovered to not have been born a normal human and is taken away from everyone and everything he loved and forced into exile among the non-mutants. After coming across a small human resistance dedicated to overthrowing the mutants and returning the world to it former state, and now being hunted by the deadly mutant mercenaries, Tom discovers incriminating secrets involving both the human resistance and the mutant nation and now he must find a way to resolve everything while struggling to fight both sides.
(Think the opposite of the X-Men lore.)
