Max, a 26 year old gamer buff with little success in reality, including dropping out of college with bad grades and breaking up with his techno-phobic girlfriend, can't figure out a way to get his life back on track.
But one day, while working at a technological appliance store, Max discovers a mysterious device connected to a television that self-activates and transports him into another dimension. Soon, Max finds himself fighting for survival while traveling through various game worlds, in an effort to survive - and pursuing someone with a connection to the transporter.
