Jake Blues, the vocalist of the band The Blues Brothers, has just been released from prison. So they decide to put their band back together to raise money. But they make enemies along the way including Illinois Nazis, the police, a mystery woman, and a Country-and-Western band called the Good Ole Boys.

The Night of the Hunter by Davis Grubb

The story concerns an ex-convict Harry Powell who, acting on a story told him by his now-dead cellmate, cons the cellmate's widow into marrying him in hopes that her children will tell him where their father hid the money from his last robbery. After killing their mother, he embarks on a hunt for the children, who have sensed his evil and are running from him.

His parents are worried by this and go through several attempts to cure him: The Hawker, the Acid Queen, and a doctor. Eventually, Tommy find happiness in pinball despite his disability. He becomes the champion and when he gets cured he is hailed by his fans as the next “Messiah.”

Two Californian high school friends, Jason and Dane, make a bet that Jason can't become friends with Miley Cyrus, who just moved into town. After awhile, Jason and Miley begin to fall in love.
