Shuuji and Chise are two high school students, just starting a relationship with each other, who witness a squadron of bombers from an unknown country destroy the city of Sapporo. Suddenly, the bombers are destroyed by a small red light floating across the sky. Soon, Shuuji finds out that the red light is Chise, and that she's a cyborg engineered for mass-destruction.
