It is 1963. Jane Cavill is facing the prospect of her ladies' academy being closed down, due to financial burdens and the changing social/political scene. During the finishing school's last year of existance, she decides to turn five girls from working-class backgrounds the toast of London's high society. The question is: will these young women rise to the challenge.
