The Barclay's have just movied in to an old house. Andy's son, mike finds a good guy doll named Chuchy in the mail (Andy doesn't know, it's Chucky) and also finds a pot of gold in the basement. Mike tries to take the gold but the Leprechaun appears to reclaim his gold, which cause the Leprechaun to kill Mike. The death of Mike angers Chucky because he was one who knew Chucky's secret, so he can transfer his soul in to Mike's body.
