Pacific Rim and Power Rangers! Yes, yes, at first it sounds ridiculous but just think: Raleigh has unknowingly been infected with some Kaiju shizzle which kicks in and turns him into a Kaiju/human hybrid. This smaller threat needs to be fought by something smaller than big, hulking robots, thus they create Pacific Rim's version of the Power Rangers. (Then we can bring out the Jaegers later when big Kaiju are awoken again)
