The Rook: On Her Majesty's Supernatural Secret Service by Daniel O'Malley

From the bookjacket: "The body you are wearing used to be mine." So begins the letter Myfanwy Thomas is holding when she awakes in a London park surrounded by bodies all wearing latex gloves. With no recollection of who she is, Myfanwy must follow the instructions her former self left behind to discover her identity and track down the agents who want to destroy her. All alone at home and with a zombified pervert neighbour stalking her wherever she goes, ...

Are You Being Served? by David Croft & Jeremy Lloyd

Grace Brothers store puts the mens readymade and the ladieswear departments across from each other and antics, mishaps and innuendo fly across the aisle. The best late addition was batty Miss Belfridge. Could it work with 21st century sensibilities? Sure! One thing though -- the original cast were all white, so it could use some diversity. My problem is I know of only a few non-white Brits, none of whom I can see in the roles.
