When Congressional page Katie Converse, a lovely 17-year-old, disappears during her Christmas break in Portland, three women with a mutual interest in crime may be able to solve the case. Allison Pierce is a federal prosecutor, Cassidy Shaw is a TV crime reporter, and Nicole Hedges is an FBI agent. They call themselves the Triple Threat Club. To find out what happened to Katie, they'll have to unearth the secrets hidden in the girl's blog, match wits with a powerful Senator, and unearth the secrets that Katie's father and stepmother, Wayne and Valerie, are keeping. Meanwhile, Allison has acquired a stalker and Cassidy's new boyfriend seems a wee bit controlling.
