Extreme Prejudice by John Milius

Callous Texas Ranger Jack Benteen and ruthless Druglord Cash Bailey, once childhood friends, are now enemies drawn into conflict when the mortality rate in a small Texas town suddenly rises in the event of what looks like a turf war started by Bailey's Mexican cartel.

Caught in the middle of the rivalry and torn between their mutual animosity for each other is Benteen's girlfriend and Bailey's ex-girlfriend Sarita Cisneros. But on the outside and pulling the strings is a group of soldiers all reported killed in action during the War on Terror and looking to fund their own private war!
