A live-action mini-series adaptation of the Roald Dahl book, which was first adapted as a animated feature-film in 1990, with the voice of David Jason. THE BFG mini-series is the story of Sophie, a orphaned young girl, whom is snatched away from her bedroom by a giant and the giant takes Sophie with him to his home in the Giant Country. Sophie learns the giant The BFG (Big Friendly Giant), goes to the magical Dream Country to collect floating blob-like objects, which he blows through a blowpipe into children's bedrooms which gives the children dreams. But Sophie soon learns evil giants also living in the Giant Country are stealing and eating children and Sophie convinces The BFG to return to London and turn to Elizabeth, Queen of England for help to stop the giants from eating anymore people. After The BFG creates a nightmare for Queen Elizabeth about the man-eating giants. Queen Elizabeth believes Sophie and The BFG's story and decides to send the army and air force to the Giant Country to capture the man-eating giants and imprison them in a special pit in London...
