The revolutionary political leader of a broken civilisation vows to take back the planet Vekta of Alpha Centauri years after the defeat of his people at the hands of Earth's forces during the first ever extrasolar war.

Scholar Visari and his followers have been stranded on the outpost planet of Helghan where they have mutated to the point where they can no longer be classed as human. Boasting the biggest army in the Universe, an endless resource of superpowered soldiers pleading vengeance on the human race, insane visionary Visari and his most respected military leader, the cold and calculating General Lente, set their sights on taking back Vekta.

Standing in his way are the vastly outnumbered and outgunned ISA forces. What could be their only hope of winning a war they cannot afford is a crack team of ISA soldiers gathered together by General Vaughton to go behind enemy lines with a liberated half-Helghan intelligence officer and find a way to halt the invasion of the Helghast Armies.
