The Barclay's have just movied in to an old house. Andy's son, mike finds a good guy doll named Chuchy in the mail (Andy doesn't know, it's Chucky) and also finds a pot of gold in the basement. Mike tries to take the gold but the Leprechaun appears to reclaim his gold, which cause the Leprechaun to kill Mike. The death of Mike angers Chucky because he was one who knew Chucky's secret, so he can transfer his soul in to Mike's body. Chucky takes revenge on the Leprechaun by stashing his gold in a secret spot. Andy believes that Chucky and the Leprechaun were secretly working together to take revenge on him for killing Chucky in the past by killing andy's only son, Mike. Chucky wants to destroy Leprechaun for killing his way out to become a human again and leprechaun wants to destroy Chucky for hiding his pot of gold, which weakens his magical powers.
