FIRST CHANNEL is a sci-fi fantasy mini-series which is based on the book ''First Channel'' by Jaqueline Licthenberg and Jean Lorrah. It is Earth in the far future. The human race has mutated into two seperate races. The Gens, mutated humans that feeds on a life-force called ''The Selyn'' and The Simes, vampires that depend on ''The Selyn'' in order to survive. But The Gens have grown selfish and wanted to keep ''The Selyn'' for themselves and wouldn't give up ''The Selyn'' to The Simes and The Gens have total power over ''The Selyn''. A son of a Gen breeder named Ramon Farris who dreams of a better life, learns that the woman he loves, Kadi, A Sime has become a Gen and must die. Refusing to kill Kadi, Ramon decides to leave and find a place where they can live and be together in the Sime world. With the community calling Ramon's crime for refusing to kill Kadi ''Channeling'', and Ramon is the ''First Channel'', and who does not known the ''Channeling'' happened many times in the past, Ramon and Kadi set off across the Sime world in search of ''Fort Freedom'', where he sets out to save Kadi from The Gens who plans to sell her to the higest bidder...
