On the planet Eternia, after a failed atempt to break into Castle Greyskull, the evil Skeletor and his evil henchmen Beastman, Trapjaw, Tri-Klops and Evil-Lyn are sucked into a portal and find themselves on the planet Mongo, where they find themselves prisoners of the planet's evil ruler Emperor Ming the Merciless. Learning they have both share a common goal for conquest, Skeletor and Ming become powerful allies and Skeletor agrees to help Ming in his goal to rule the galaxy. Learning what is it at stake. The Sorceress of Castle Greyskull sends the mighty warrior He-Man and his companions Man-At-Arms, Teela, Orko and Battlecat to Mongo to stop Skeletor and Ming the Merciless. Arriving on Mongo, He-Man teaming up with American Football Player turned Space Hero Flash Gordon, set out to do battle with Skeletor and Ming and prevent them from becoming Masters of the Universe as Flash Gordon and He-Man are the only ones powerful and brave enough to stop them...
