Eric Draven, an up-and-coming musician in Detroit, and his fiancee Shelly Webster are murdered by a group of thugs on Devil's Night, the night before their wedding. A year later, Eric rises from his grave, and led by a spiritual guide in the form of the crow, brings down vengeance upon his killers, hoping to avenge his beloved Shelly and return to her.
