Freddy Krueger is back in Hell since his defeat at the hands of Jason Voorhees in Freddy vs. Jason. As Halloween approaches he finds a new person to use to return to the world of the living in Michael Myers. Jason though still seeks revenge against Freddy so he challenges him.
Meanwhile John Tate tries to make a new life for himself ever since the events of the last few Halloween films and is a target of Michael. Tommy Jarvis saves him and together with the help of Alice Johnson and Lori Campell have to finally put an end to the three deadliest killers who have ever walked the Earth. They receive help from the passed on spirits of Nancy Thompson and Laurie Strode.
