Death Note by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata

Ryuk is a bored Death God, who one day decides to drop a Death Note into the human world just to see what happens.

Light Yagami stumbles upon this notebook and realises its power. If a person's name is written in this notebook, that person will die. Soon, Light uses the Death Note to rid the world of criminals.

But soon, the police are attracted to the death of criminals, and a mysterious detective named L is called in to investigate. Now, wanting to know who is this person dubbed Kira, a psychological game of cat and mouse begins.
