Copenhagen by Michael Frayn

Based on German physicist Werner Heisenberg's strange trip in 1941 to Copenhagen while Denmark was under German occupation to see his counterpart and mentor, Niels Bohr. The close colleagues had revolutionized atomic physics in the 1920s with their work on quantum mechanics and the uncertainty principle. The scientists face dilemmas working to perfect weapons of mass destruction. Heisenberg in particular, who was opposed to the Nazi regime, but who headed the Nazi nuclear research program.
