The story of the Dark Knight is dark and character-driven, exploring the tortured psychology of Bruce Wayne. His alter-ego, Batman, is a vigilante dedicated to protecting the citizens of Gotham City, which is overrun by organized crime and other dangerous individuals manipulating the system.
I would definitely make Lucy Lawless my number one choice for Catwoman/Selina Kyle. She has the right physical and psychological presence for her to do justice to the character.
I'd really like to see Alan Cumming as Joker, with Brittany Murphy at his side as Harley Quinn in the next movie in this new series.
I resd another post on this forum mentioning Angelina Jolie as catwoman.. having thought about that for a while, I think she'd do very well in the roll.. partly because we've already seen her do acrobatics in the Tomb Raider movies, but also... it's quite easy to imagine her purring. ;)
Hugo Weaving has the intensity and intelligence to portray Riddler, without making him too ridiculous. It'd be an interesting change to see him play the part similar to his role as Agent Smith, rather than the giggling prancing nutjob he was portrayed as in Batman Forever. (don't get me wrong, I like Jim Carey as an actor, I just personally would like to see the character less campy, and more smug/condescending/superior with his riddles, and above all not so... giggly.)
Finally, Guy Pearce as Harvey Dent/Two-Face is an excellent choice.
i heard the next Batman will feature Joker, i would like to see Johnny Depp as Joker, or even Crispen Glover. And as for the third film, rumors are saying it will be Two Face, in which case, Guy Pearce
People are trying to put in a word for Crispin Glover to be the Joker in the next Batman. And seeing as how Christopher Nolan had worked with Guy Pearce in Momento, it is highly likely that he'll be Two-Face, eventually.

I still think Michael Keaton is the best Batman and Jack Nicholson is the best Joker. Can anyone agree with me that Drew Barrymore can played Harley Quinn?
Cristian Bale WAS Batman, he WAS Bruce Wayne, the film was amazing. Now it's time for that sequal we've all been talking about since we heard the first one was being made. Joker for the next film, and Two Face for the third
Rumors have been circulating around about the Joker for the next film, and i say it should go to Sean Penn, an A list actor, a man with amazing talent, raw humor emotion, given this opportunity he could crack into the true mind set of the psycotic joker and deliver an amazing performance
Don't double post.
edit
I hope that the Riddler is never used in any movie ever again as he is the stupidest villain ever.
edit
He tells Batman what he is doing ahead of time, that is really dumb, any one who did this would have a very short criminal career.
