Sent to the country to live with the eccentric Professor Kirke during World War II, the Pevensie children discover the entrance to the magical land of Narnia inside an old wardrobe. There they learn of their destiny to free the intelligent creatures of the land from the endless Winter and tyrannical rule of the White Witch with the guidance of a messianic lion.
I hope they will be able to make this book into a movie that doesn't come across as cheesy as the TV movies made back in the late 80s.
there's probably no hope of escaping cheese. But I've loved the series since i was a kid, and hope they at least get the point across, so my son can enjoy a decent version of it.
