1776 by Sherman Edwards & Peter Stone

This musical takes place during the days leading up to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, during June and July, 1776. The plot focuses on John Adams's struggles to get a resolution on independence passed by Congress, and his and Benjamin Franklin's attempts to get Thomas Jefferson to write the Declaration.
