A possible sequel to 2012's The Amazing Spider-Man, based on the three-part Alien Costume storyline of the 1994 Spider-Man animated series. Astronauts John Jameson and Paul Stevens discover a rock called Promethium X, said to be more powerful than plutonium, on a nearby asteroid. Unknown to them though, Promethium X also contains an alien symbiote which manages to break free and tries to consume the astronauts. As they look for a way home, they must use their newfound powers to help the people of this parallel universe defeat an evil force that threatens to break through the barriers between worlds, and enslave all of reality.
