Let's just take the idea of Tim Burton's remake to its' logical extreme and imagine a remake done in the style of Amelie, Micmacs, City of Lost Children, etc. Wonderfully whimsical, frequently frightening, and oddball to an absurd extreme. Rules: actor has to have appeared in a movie by a foreign director or (ideally) at least one film in a different language. I'll be more lenient with the kids, though.
